The past two weeks I was in London, on vacation visiting my girlfriend. During my time there I took plenty of time to take photos on the streets of London. When I was editing, I noticed a number of pairings of content and style and decided to showcase some of my images to you in a dual format.
I will try to upload a few more images in the coming week, in addition you can check out the photos I uploaded while I was there. They are on my profile on EyeEm.
These photos were taken during my 9 day trip using my 5D classic and a 50mm f/1.4. They were all shot from the hip. It was fun using the full frame camera, but it had some limitations, mainly relating to focus reliability and ISO range, but there was some 200 selects from 2,300 images taken, so I had a decent success rate.
During my time there, I picked up a book of street photography of London from the 1860 to the present. It was a great book that I am glad I found. In addition I realized I didn’t venture far into less known areas of the city, since I was being a tourist at the same time as I was capturing these images. Next time I hope to find some of the more off beat paths to get some different images.
