Today I photographed the 2013 prairie burn at Green Oaks. It was the first time I covered the burn, even though I have been at Knox for 5 of them. It was quite a toasty day and I think the images turned out half decent for my first attempt at covering this event.
In addition, I am trying out the Nik Collection from Google. It has some fun presets for images and I am giving them a test drive to see if its worth the 149 bucks. So please note, all of these images have conversions and filters done to them to make them pop a bit more than they normally would. I tried to stay away from some of the more extreme ones, but none the less, they walk a gray line in photojournalism ethics.
